pour out your heart

ok, i am really focusing on trust right now, especially with it being rush week and how crazy is it that my bible has exactly 6 verses in the concordance about trust. 6 verses for 6 days! that's crazy awesome, so my verse today was Psalm 62:8,

"Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us."

the part of this verse that really stands out to me is "pour out your heart before him." i love that we can just talk to God about ANYTHING absolutely anything, and just really pour out our hearts to him, our desires, our feelings, our disappointments, just anything. it is so freeing to know that i can go to the Lord about any issue i have, any little small thing that i would think a gigantic God wouldn't care about, but he does. he is a refuge for us. little small us. that is so incredibly comforting.

for real though, i think everyday i learn more and more about God's love and how incredibly deep it is. just that he would care so much about me and that he would want me to actually POUR out my heart to him, i mean, i'm a girl. i got a lot of emotions, but he doesn't care. he wants exactly how we are, and he loves us just the way we are, and there is nothing, absolutely nothing we can do to change that. he is a refuge for us.
